Liz Owens is the political media coordinator in AAUW’s policy shop. Liz creates the social media content for the policy department, including tweets, Facebook posts, and shareable images. The bulk of this content lobbies members of Congress on AAUW priorities. Follow @AAUWPolicy on Twitter to learn more. Liz also crafts press releases and media pitches for the policy department – and sends them out on Twitter of course. Liz has a bachelor’s degree in newspaper journalism from Drake University and a master’s degree in public policy and women’s studies from George Washington University.
